Tune a room

Small-batch room tuning — Est. MMXXVI

Every room is an instrument.

Tessella is an acoustics studio that measures, models, and tunes physical spaces — listening rooms, studios, libraries, chapels — until geometry and sound agree. Twelve rooms a year. No more.

Sound obeys geometry. Geometry can be designed.

01 — 03 · The method

Three moves. One resolution.

Each engagement follows the same strict sequence. Nothing is improvised; everything is verified. The room tells us what it is — we make it what it should be.

01

Measure

A 24-point sweep maps the room's impulse response — every reflection, every resonance, every decay curve, captured to the millisecond.

02

Model

We rebuild the room as pure mathematics — a wave-field simulation where panels, angles, and materials can be tested a thousand times before one is built.

03

Tune

Machined diffusers and tuned absorbers — built in our own workshop — are installed to the millimetre. Then we measure again, until the curve is flat and the room sings.

"They treated our listening room the way a luthier treats a violin. When the last panel clicked into place, the room simply resolved — like a chord finding its root."
— Founding client, private listening room, Copenhagen

Complete the shape.

Two of this year's twelve commissions remain. Tell us about your room — its dimensions, its purpose, its stubborn frequencies — and we'll tell you exactly what it could become.
